The Grand Canyon is undoubtedly a place all of us have visited or would like to visit some day. There is a reason it is one of the 7 wonders of the world. Pictures of it are amazing to look at but nothing compares to seeing it with your own eyes. Standing on the rim and feeling the wind and the just the shear power and magnitude of the Canyon is something every adventurer must experience.
The North Rim views are stunning. The lack of people is refreshing.

Riding to it and exploring it on your motorcycle is the ultimate adventure. It’s easily accessible from many western states via motorcycle and if you live far away or don’t feel like riding thousands of miles to get to it you can fly into Phoenix or Vegas, rent a motorcycle and start the adventure of a lifetime. Bike of choice for an adventure like this? Well there are many great options but I chose the 1st gen KLR650. It performed great fully loaded and cruising 70mph on the road. Take off the bags and it rips dirt roads and trails like a soft squishy dirt bike.
My particular destination of choice was the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Less People and dirt roads galore! We spent a week camping and exploring around the North Rim and it was the best adventure and moto camping experience of my life.
